2D Turn-Based Strategy - C++ Custom Engine

  • C++ Custom Engine

  • Custom data-driven UI button class

  • Integration of FMOD studio API and audio management

  • Systems to handle text on-screen, animated transitions, and input management

  • Adding deserialization functionality for particles, enemies, combat, and more.

Mockery In The Black

3D First Person Horror - Unreal Engine

Contributions:

  • Player inventory and checkpoint system

  • 3D button class with camera transition system for main menu

  • Custom scripted events for enemy and rat

  • Player HUD and menus with UI designer

  • Assisted in creating particles using Niagara and improving the performance of the game

About Me

Hello! My name is Joanna Li.

I was born in Manhattan, New York, but was raised in Alaska and lived there for most of my life.

 

Currently, I am studying computer science at DigiPen Institute of Technology where I get to explore programming custom engines as well as working in commercial engines like Unreal with students of other disciplines.

 

In my free time, I like to listen to music and read. I am always up for hanging out with my friends and learning new pen spinning tricks.
